In Chicago, she met and married her adoring husband, Myron Sol Kushner z”l in 1966. The couple moved to Las Vegas in 1969 where they spent many happy years together raising their three children, Carla, Lou, and Sam.
Harriet was an avid reader, mahjong player, and a prolific crocheter and knitter. As a young woman she enjoyed participating in synagogue life, Jewish community, and women’s organizations.
In 2005, Harriet began her journey of empowerment through Gamblers Anonymous. There she found a supportive and loving community of like-minded people, whom she came to love and cherish.
Harriet was known for her kindness, generosity of spirit, self-deprecating intellect, loud snoring, a zest for laughter, and for always having Kleenex in her pocket. She loved to travel and spend time with those she loved, especially her grandchildren.
Harriet is predeceased by her parents Abe z”l and Nettie z”l Price, as well as the love of her life, Myron z”l, who’s untimely passing in 1994 shaped her later years.
She is survived by her three children, Carla (Bruce) Herniter, Lou Kushner, Sam (Carolyn) Kushner, and her 7 grandchildren Ira Herniter, Alex Kushner, Moriah Herniter, Zackery Kushner, Jessi Herniter, Marissa Kushner, and Chava Herniter.
