Hung Yong Kyong of Henderson, Nevada, passed away peacefully during his sleep on February 9, 2014 at his home. He was born on September 11, 1939 in Korea to Ki Won Kyong and Jae Sung Kang. He moved to Las Vegas on March 31, 1976 where he worked as a mechanic, chef, and later owned a successful electronic retail business.
He lived a happy life enjoying his grandchildren, golfing, traveling, and eating good food with his close friends. He had a wonderful bright smile; brighter than the sun that could light up the world. His heart was full of compassion and kindness. His family and friends were his joy and he loved playing and spending time with his grandchildren. He brought great joy to his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Ok Ja; his two sons Steve Kyong and Tim Kyong; daughter-in-law Sujin; grandchildren Thomas, Daniel, and Samuel Kyong; and his older brother Dae Yong.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 4:00pm at Palm Eastern Mortuary and Cemetery, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89123.
