I loved Ira as a friend for many years. Ira and our mutual friend Jerry had many a fun time in Palm Springs.

Dearest Bob, our hearts are breaking for you. So sorry that we did not get your initial notice. Thankful that you contacted me. We always enjoyed our visits with you and Ira, in California (the wine tasting event in Santa Barbara-whoopee!), Phoenix, and Festa Italiana in Milwaukee. I will miss one of my oldest and lifelong friends. Ira, you were the kid that everyone liked and wanted to be around. Summers on the South Side of Chicago were spent swimming, playing softball, or scheming in our "clubhouse" in Reggie's yard, where you broke your arm testing our homemade zipline! Your uniform: penny loafers, white jeans, blue oxford shirt (tail out). Our dilemma: whether to use pennies in our loafers or start a style trend with dimesâ€¦we chose dimes, of course. You were the master of staying in touch, remembering holiday and birthday greetings to all, and being quick with a hug. You made me a more thoughtful person and I love you for it.

First, my condolences to the family and friends of Ira.  Secondly, I knew Ira as a co-worker.  He knew and performed his job extremely well and was very reliable and trustworthy for me.  Lastly, Ira and I shared similar goals.  We looked forward to retirement and we enjoyed the theater and movies.  Ira loved to travel and I envied that.  His enjoyment of the theater, movies and travel tells me he was learning from life.  Ira is a great man who has made his mark with everyone he came into contact with.  He will be surely missed.  ALOHA Brah!  and MAHALO's for being my friend.


What a blessing you have been in my life and in my heart; I will truly miss you.  The warmth and love that you have shown to my granddaughter, Izabella and of courseâ€¦me (the Mess).  What a great loss we feel in our hearts and our souls.  

No matter what, Ira and Bob have always sent Izabella birthday cards, Christmas cards and of courseâ€¦.gifts.  One time when she was about 6 years old  she had opened one of the cards from Ira and Bob and she stopped and looked at me with those young little eyes and asked, â€œNana, why do they send me cards and gifts, I have only talked to them on the phone?â€  I said to her, â€œMy Bella, there are people in the world that are just good people and they share their love unconditionally, and Ira and Bob are good people.â€  Izabella, â€œoh okay, I think they are really nice and I really like them, is that okay?  It isn't cause they send me cards, but because they love me uncondition (her words at age 6)â€.  Me, â€œYes, my Bellaâ€¦(tears), it is okay to love them.â€ 

Izabella (Bella), now 14 years old and she was so sad when I had to tell her that Ira has gone to heaven, as he is needed there more than here on earth.  She cried and said, â€œNana, I still love them uncondition â€¦..allyâ€¦â€¦.â€

Ira, I will miss your morning/holiday emails, because no matter what kind of day I was having, your emails always made me smile and sometimes laugh.  You made my day so many times and never knew or asked.  These little gestures you have always done for so many just shows what a wonderful man you are and will always be!  

Ira, we will always love you and miss you more than a million words can express!!

We will miss you, Ira!  You always made us smile and gave out the best hugs!  Our thoughts and prayers are with Robert and Ira's family.  It was our privilege to have known such a wonderful and gentle man!

Dear Ira,
I wanted to send you a little note to say how much I will miss our time together. We spent so much time on our breaks and lunchtime walking and talking, sitting and talking, listening to music, and just simply sitting together and enjoying each other's friendship. To me we were friends first and co-workers second. You were taken from all of us way too soon. I know that all of us will see you again someday and that you and Robert will be happily reunited. As much as you liked to travel I am sure your spirit is either travelling from place to place now or you are making a list of all the beautiful places that you and Robert will be able to see together when the time comes for him to join you. You and Robert were so lucky to find each other and spend so much time together traveling and sharing great experiences. I hope once Robert makes it through the stages of grief that he will find joy in remembering everything you were able to enjoy together. You were, are, and always will be the kindest and most honest soul that I have ever met. You showed respect to absolutely everyone around you whether it was earned and deserved by them or not.  I will not say goodbye since we will see each other again so I will just say see you again and please watch over Robert, your family, and friends.

My first thought of Ira was when I used to baby sit for the Dauer boys, and I use to sing OH MY PAPA to them and Ira use to say sing it again. Last year when I saw him he asked if I remembered what I use to sing to him.

Ira always asked how others were doing. Always had something nice to say about people's kids and families. And I could always count on him to know exactly how long we had until the weekend. May God grant you a generous share of eternity.

Ira's passing is a sad loss for all of us at Associa Nevada South.  We will sorely miss him, both from a personal and from a professional standpoint.  He was a dedicated employee and touched everyone in a special way.  His heart was genuine and kind.  We will miss hearing the stories of his travels.  To all of us hurting from the loss, I wish us the strength for today and hope for tomorrow.

Ira was a good friend to me for 24 years.  Always kind and caring, he touched the lives of many.  He will be greatly missed.

You were such a fantastic person.  You always guided me in the right direction and you were able to put a smile on my face.  I will miss you my friend.

It has been an absolute pleasure to have Ira share my days for the last 7 years. He always kept my son in his heart, and truly took pride in everything my son did. He always made sure to grab office snacks, and said "here take this home to Anthonyâ€ My son always got so excited. When my husband and I had trouble, Ira always reminded me of what a great man I had, and that I was lucky. He truly taught me the value of taking time to relax, to enjoy life. Last month he REALLY got on my case about working the day after my surgery, and caps locked me a message to get some rest ?
His last message to be was that he was feeling ok, but asked how I was doing!!
Ira you were a great person with a very thoughtful heart. I will cherish all the lessons that I'll be taking away from our relationship. You will truly be missed, and I pray that you are resting in peace. My prayers and thoughts go out to your Family, and Robert. 

God saw you were getting tired, And a cure was not to be,

Ira was a wondeful man with a quiet spirit and a good heart. He will never know how much he will be missed. He carried himself with dignity and respect, he spoke his mind and keep his peace.
