Jacque Connor Philippi

In loving memory of Jacque Philippi, who was born in Henderson Nevada on February 26, 2004 and passed away on March 17, 2026 in Medjugorje Bosnia. Jacque was a cherished member of the Philippi family known for an infectious smile and a gentle heart. He touched the lives of many throughout his short life including those in Medjugorje where he visited and stayed to rediscover himself and his faith. During his time in Medjugorje Jacque attended daily Mass and was known to carry his rosary everywhere. He developed a close relationship with Medjugorje English Chaplian Father Leon Pereira, who described Jacque as a son to him.

Jacque was homeschooled, he was an excellent student with a witty personality and liked to be the life of the party. He was active in the Church serving as an alter boy at Saint Francis Assisi Catholic Church and a daily lector at Saint Sharbel Maronite Catholic Church.

Growing up, Jacque was a talented athlete excelling at baseball, football and jiu-jitsu before finding his passion wrestling. In his first year of high school wrestling he finish fourth at 160 lb in the Nevada State Championship for Coronado High School, receiving Coronado’s Iron Claw Award and earning him a wrestling scholarship to Benedictine College in Kansas.

A highlight in Jacque’s life was the summer of 2024 he spent in Azerbaijan with his father training with the Olympic wrestling team and making friends with some of the best wrestlers in the world in their preparation for the Paris Olympics. He had the opportunity to attend the Olympics and watch his new friends compete and win Olympic medals.

Jacque loved the daily grind of athletic preparation and exercise; and the peace, serenity and satisfaction it provided him. During his time in Medjugorje he was often seen running up and down the rocky terrain of Cross Mountain to the amazement of the locals.

He will be cherished and survived by his parents, Mark and Mary Theresa (Tracey) brother Marc and sister-in-law Kylie , brothers Zachary, Wynn, and sister Mckayla and brother-in-law Dr. Mo Alibakhiet.

Nephew and Godson Hugh, Philippi, (nieces) Josie , and Anne Philippi.

Jacque was preceded in death by his grandmother Cathy Peoples, and grandparents Bob and Carolyn Philippi and cousin Mairissa. His grandfather Don Peoples passed into enteral life 2 days later on March 19, 2026.
