James Vincent DeVita, Jr., 65, a 20 year resident of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on September 14th, 2016. Born in Manhattan on July 10th, 1951 to Anna and James DeVita, he grew up in Spring Valley, NY where he resided for 44 years. There he met his wife, Deborah Paoletta in 1969 and the high school sweethearts were married on February 13th, 1972. They were married for 45 years.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie and two sons, Anthony & Dominick. He leaves behind a daughter-in-law Debbie & granddaughter, Alexis Nicole. He is also survived by his three sisters, Sally Neuberger, Maryann Petry & Debra Tavarone; two sister-in-laws, Joan Paoletta and Patricia Parsekian along with many nieces and nephews.
Jimmy owned his own transportation company in New York and contributed greatly to his community through coaching several youth sports teams. Jimmy was passionate about music that was portrayed through his song writing and poetry. His love of his music was only surpassed by his love for his family and friends.
