

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Jim was a kind and good-hearted man who made friends easily and left everyone he met with a smile. Whether walking in the park or relaxing in front of the TV, his beloved dog Touli was never far from his side.
Jim was born on March 25, 1946, in Lakewood, Ohio and graduated from Parma High School in 1964. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, enlisting in December 1965. Over the course of his distinguished career, he was stationed across the United States, Europe, and North Africa, with his final assignment at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas. He retired in 1988 as a Senior Master Sergeant. Following his military service, Jim worked for the U.S Environmental Protection Agency, retiring as a GS-12 in December 2014.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia, and his daughter Kimberly (Raymond Sword). he is preceded in death by his beloved son, Jason. Jim was a proud grandfather to Brittney (Chris Maresh) and Noah Sword. He is also survived by his sister Karen Marshall (Joseph) and brother Frank Gombarcik (Parisa) and was predeceased by his sister Carol Beitel.
Jim will be deeply missed by all who knew him and will remain forever in our hearts.
