Janice M. Kansky

Janice Margaret Kansky, of Las Vegas, NV passed away peacefully April 9th, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was 90 years old. She was born September 19th, 1923, in Plainfield, New Jersey to Raymond Dewey Kansky and Laura William Smith. She had three brothers, James, Carl and Douglas. Janice was a very giving person who loved to do things for others. She would be the first person to try and help anyone in need. She loved family gatherings, children, animals, yahtzee, crocheting and her television shows. She lived for her children and supported them by working 2 full time jobs for several years. She retired from the U.S. Post office after 24 years to care for a family member and then relocated to Las Vegas in 1988. She spent several years in Iowa and San Diego before returning to Las Vegas in 2012. She is survived by her children Marilyn, Patricia, Theresa, Craig, Timothy, Christopher, Marilyn's husband Thomas, Timothy's wife Brenda and Christopher's husband Daniel as well as 11 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, several children she considered family after years of babysitting and the many friends she made throughout her life. She is now at peace and has joined her son Jonathon and the rest of her family and friends that have passed on into Heaven.
