Jason Rivera

Friends and Family – With heavy hearts we share in the unfortunate passing of a dear friend, cherished father, and devoted husband Jason James Rivera.

A Las Vegas Native, born November 1, 1972, to his beloved parents Johnny & Janet Rivera passed on February 4, 2025. He grew up playing youth soccer and baseball. A 1991 Graduate from Valley High School. He joined the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 12 in 1993 where he devoted 26 years, until he joined forces with his Dad’s home inspection business. Jason eventually branched out on his own and started GreenTech Home Inspections in 2015. He quickly and efficiently built his reputation and earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike with his transparency, humility, and breadth of knowledge cementing the trust of the REALTOR community.

Jason's proudest moments came in 1995 when he became a father to his beautiful daughter, Kassidy, and again in 2000 when he welcomed his amazing son, Thomas. In 2018, he expanded his family even further when he married his cherished wife, Erin, and embraced the role of Dad to Anthony and Ava.

Jason was a true lover of the outdoors, passionate about hunting, his dog Maxx (and all animals), and his latest obsession—his Harley. Jason created a sense of community in any space he entered, priding himself on bringing together friends from all walks of life with laughter, stories and the ability to make everyone feel at home. He was a sincere friend, always finding the good in people and going the extra mile to do for those around him. His genuine desire to help and his inability to walk away from those in need distinguished him in his community as someone who truly uplifted others The mountains fueled his soul, especially at the family cabin and condo. Jason also loved music, attending concerts or listening a local live band. He never turned down an opportunity to spend time with friends and loved ones. . Calling him social would be an understatement—Jason made lasting friendships everywhere he went. His laugh was unmistakable and always brought others into the fun.

Jason’s parting is a profound loss to those who had the joy of crossing paths with him and leaves a hole in the hearts of those with whom he shared his life. Our hearts are eternally broken.

A visitation for Jason will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Palm Mortuary - Eastern, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A funeral service will occur Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A committal service will occur Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Palm Eastern Cemetery, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
