John Campobasso, 90, a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada since 1988, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2015. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on February 16, 1925. In his 90 years, he worked in construction for 60 years, had an Italian restaurant, an alfalfa farm and an avocado ranch. The last 15 years he worked at Home Depot. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians and the Magic Castle—he loved to do magic; had a sail boat called the Y-Knott; and he enjoyed singing. John was married to Joann for 59 years. John is survived by son Joe (Margie); daughter Toni (Carl); grandchildren Vince (Tinaya), John, Brian, Jeff, Sam (Hillary) and Mandi (Nate); great-grandchildren Aiden, Johnmichael, Marshal, Molly, Aurora and Marcus; brothers Tony, Nathan and Frank; and sister Josephine. John was an outgoing, fun-loving man and loved by many. He will be missed. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 13. Service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 14, both at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave, Las Vegas NV. Burial immediately to follow. .
