John C. "Jack" Wood, our beloved father, passed away Dec. 18, 2010, surrounded by family in Las Vegas. He was 71 years old. he was born to Carl and Dora Wood in Elko, Sept. 20, 1939. He relocated to Reno in 1956 and was a 1957 graduate of Bishop Manogue Catholic High School. After spending a period of time in Las Vegas, he returned to Reno where he lived most of his life. Jack spent his professional career as a real estate developer, responsible for several projects being built in and around the Reno area. He was an avid fly fisherman and loved nature and the great outdoors. He will be remembered as a loving, generous, supporting father with a tremendous sense of humor. Jack is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Regan and Judy Wood of Las Vegas; daughter, Tiffany Wood of Las Vegas; sons, Ryan and Shane Wood of Reno; and six grandchildren. Private celebration mass will be at Christ the King Catholic Community. Burial will follow at Palm Eastern Memorial Park.
