John Zarkos, 86, was born Jan. 14, 1926 and returned to His Lord and Holy Savior on Greek Orthodox Good Friday, April 13, 2012. He is survived by his beloved wife, of 60 years, Maria; daughter, Soultana (Gregorios) Anastasiadis; sons, Dean (Nikoleta) and Nick (Constantina) Zarkos; grandchildren, Paraskevy, Maria, Yianni, Nikoletta, Alexandros and Isabella; great-grandchildren, Georgos and Soultana. He was preceded in death by his four siblings. Visitation will be 5-6 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, with Trisagion service following. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, all at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, 5300 El Camino Road, Las Vegas. Burial will follow at Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
