Jose "Grandpa Joe" Longoria Sr.

Born September 7th 1944 in Del Rio, Texas, he lived in Las Vegas, Nevada and worked at the Fremont Hotel and Casino as a kitchen steward and a member of the Culinary Union for 23 years until retiring in 2006.

He was preceded his mother Juana Longoria.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Alicia Longoria of Las Vegas, his father Santos Longoria of Del Rio, Texas, twin sister Mary Cervantes of Del Rio, Texas and brother Rudy Longoria also of Del Rio, Texas, son Jose Longoria Jr. and wife Patricia Amarillas, daughter Mary Navarrette and husband Juan Navarrette, daughter Sandy Longoria and husband Carlos Hernandez and son Mike Longoria and wife Clara Engimann all of Las Vegas an dhis 12 grandchildren Linda Amarillas, Jose Longoria III, John Longoria, Johnny Meza, Claudia Suateguy, Esmy Meza, Isabel Elena, Adelmo Elena Jr., Omar Hernandez, Emmalyn Hernandez, Victoria Longoria, and David Longoria, his 2 great grandchildren Meztly Lizarraga and Alisha Coleman.

A Visitation will be held at Palm Eastern Mortuary June 19th, 2014 at 3pm 7600 South Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123 with a Funeral Service on June 20th, 2014 11am at Prince of Peace Catholic 5485 E Charleston Blvd Las Vegas, NV 89142
