

years old. She was born on September 29,1945 in Honolulu, Hawaii and will be missed by her
family, friends and all she touched in her ministry.
Josephine is preceded in death by her brother Roque ‘Rocky’ Bulacan Jr, her sisters Cynthia
‘Nina’ Ho and Alberta Bulacan, and her parents Virginia Cordeiro and Roque Bulacan Sr.
Josephine was a beloved mother, grandmother and sister. She is survived by her 3 children
Gilbert Alameda, Herbert Alameda, and Virginia Alameda-Kurzyniec. She is survived by 5
grandchildren Sarah Alameda, Ikaika Galves,Raven Alameda, Krislyn Kurzyniec, and Kayla
Kurzyniec. And also survived by 4 great grandchildren Kayzen Alameda, Korey
Alameda-McCabe, Kharter Alameda-McCabe and Keelan Galves. Josephine is also survived by
her 4 siblings Richard Bulacan, Thomas ‘Thom’ Kam, Rodney ‘Wayne’ Kam and Julieann
‘Julie’Tavares.
Josephine had a few different jobs but she was mainly a homemaker and a loving, dedicated
parent. She volunteered as a housekeeper at St. George Catholic Church In Waimanalo,
Hawaii, where she also taught CCD for many years.
Josephine was a dedicated member of the Associate Secular Branch of the Congregation of the
Sacred Hearts, a non-ordained member dedicated to the ministries of the church across multiple
parishes on Oahu, Hawaii. She was the lead organizer of garage sales that raised funds for
Sacred Heart priests and seminarians and St. Damien‘s church on Moloka’i. She was a tireless
volunteer in the outreach program at Sacred Heart church in Waianae ,Hawaii where she helped
with the clothes and houseware drives for non-housed parishioners and bagged and distributed
groceries for the food bank. She volunteered her service as a housekeeper at the rectory
residence at Sacred Heart in Waianae, Hawaii.
She will be remembered always for her humility and genuine gratitude.
Her funeral mass will be on June 16, 2021 at St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church 2300 Sunridge
Heights Pkwy Henderson, NV 89052 at 10:00AM.
