Joyce Freeman McCray, 81, a 20-year Las Vegas resident, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2015. She was born to James and Rose Freeman on March 22, 1933 in Washington, D.C., the first of eleven children. Joyce had a long career with the district government, winning many awards and hearts. She loved gourmet cooking, travel and was an avid football fan. She is survived by her son, Kevin, and his wife Janette, her grandson, Jamey, and his wife, Olga, their two sons Demetrius and Marcel, and her sisters Jewel, Gwendolyn, June and Sheila, along with a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1:00p.m. on February 14, 2015 at Palm Eastern Mortuary, located at 7600 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas.
