Karol Roscoe, 88, a resident of Las Vegas since 1951, passed away on October 10, 2014 with her family by her side. She gently passed following a difficult surgery with complications. Karol was born on May 16, 1926 in Beattie, Kansas. Karol served cocktails for 30 years in many of the hotels which included Club Bingo, Silver Slipper, Last Frontier, Dunes, Flamingo, Riviera, and the Hacienda which was her last as a cocktail waitress. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother who delighted in family get-togethers. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, gardening, and telling stories about her youth.In her last year, she participated in family Karaoke, 500 Rummy games, and working Jumbo puzzles from the newspaper. Karol was preceded in death by her children David and Jim. Karol is survived by a brother Larrie Schmidt; three children Cheryl, Mike, and Jami; thirteen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123 on October 20, 2014 at 1:00pm followed by a “Celebration of Life” at 2:00pm; graveside service will follow.
