Ki Cha Roy, 85, of Henderson, Nevada, peacefully passed away on June 24, 2025, surrounded by her family and loved ones. A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Ki embodied grace, compassion, and quiet strength throughout her life.
Born on February 1, 1940, in Japan and raised in Korea from the age of five, Ki lived with deep roots in faith, family, and love. She is survived by her two daughters, Chong Min Park Kaleiwahea (Parish) and Soonya Roy; her seven grandchildren—Leilani, Keoni, Kainoa, Ryan, Kiyana, Janay, and Christian; and twelve great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Ki’s remarkable life will be held on Saturday, July 5, at Palm Eastern Mortuary. An open casket visitation will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a closed casket service at 4:00 PM, and will conclude with a catered dinner reception.
Ki’s gentle spirit and deep love for cooking will forever warm the hearts of her ʻohana. Her legacy lives on through the stories we tell and the memories of her boundless hospitality. We will always cherish the way she shared her love—freely, joyfully, and with open arms—leaving behind a beautiful inspiration for us all.
