

Larry Leon Gilmore, age 73, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born on December 16, 1951, in Las Vegas to his loving parents, Elbert Leon Gilmore and Valeria Gilmore.
A devoted father, partner, and friend, Larry is survived by his sons, Larry Leon Gilmore Jr. and Richard Gilmore; his grandchildren Lucas, Emma, Lincoln, Michael, and Justine; and his girlfriend, Colleen Swieterman. He is also lovingly remembered by Colleen’s family, her children, Cheryl and Ryan, and their children – Wylee, Addy, and Griffin.
Larry was a man who found peace and joy in the outdoors. He loved nature, the mountains, and the forest, and he cherished spending summers at his place in Montana. An animal lover through and through, he adored his four dogs, who were never far from his side.
In 1978, Larry founded his wood framing construction business in Las Vegas. Gilmore Construction is a business he solely built with pride, dedication, and hard work. The legacy he created continues today through his son and partner, Larry Jr., who carries forward the company and the family name in business that meant so very much to him.
Larry was known for his vibrant spirit – quiet and steady when needed, but always capable of lighting up a room. He will be remembered for his love of family, his connection to the outdoors, his sincere devotion to his business and its valued employees and customers. Larry had a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He will be deeply missed.
