“Larry” is survived by his wife Tina Larson Toledo, their daughter Alicia, her partner Robert, and granddaughter December; another daughter Diana Palmer and Jerry Palmer spouse, and grandchildren: Darby, Jordan, and Payton; and a host of siblings and other family members in California, Washington, and Philippines.
“Larry” was born on May 30th, 1947 in Cavite Province, Philippines.
One of the earliest and favorite childhood memories that Larry shared with his family, was when he would sneak onto the US military base, posted in his hometown, and watch American movies. Thus began his love affair for the country and culture. In 1966 he joined the US Navy. Setting sail from the Philippines, he began a tour through Europe, sailing throughout the 7 seas to countless other ports, and finally, in 1970, finished his tour in the country he always longed after; America.
Larry first touched base in Norfolk, VA before ultimately settling in Seattle, Washington. 6 years later Larry met the most beautiful woman, the love of his life and eventual wife, Tina. Larry went on to accomplish and fulfill many of his American dreams following the union between him and Tina, including introducing their daughter Alicia to the world.
In 1992 he found his faith in the Lord through Christianity. For the next 15 years Larry would continue his passion for boating and yachting in locations such as the San Juan Islands, Canadian Gulf Islands and Victoria BC, Canada. As those close to him knew, you did not want to be on the receiving end of Larry if you messed with his team, the Seattle Seahawks, as he was always a dedicated and passionate fan of theirs.
In 2010 Larry and Tina moved to Las Vegas. He worked diligently at the VA hospital beginning in 2012 to present day. He and his family welcomed their granddaughter, December, during their time here and enjoyed all Vegas had to offer. Including, lounging by the pool, cruising the strip, and enjoying great food amongst them.
Above all, Larry’s family, and the love and devotion he had for them were the greatest accomplishments of his journey. Larry had accomplished what he had set out to do as an adolescent and fulfilled his American Dream.
So we say thank you Larry for this wonderful journey we were all a part of. For we love you and we will miss you...
