Longtime Las Vegas resident, Leon Dwayne Doss, 52, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, August 28, 2014. Leon was a P.E. teacher at different elementary schools around the valley, Andre Agassi Preparatory Academy, and at Arbor View High School. He was a baseball and football coach at Bishop Gorman High School. He coached football at Durango and Arbor View. He was also Arbor View's Women's basketball coach. Mr. Doss was an ATA instructor and also a soccer coach for the Heat FC. He is survived by his wife, Faye, and his daughters Hayley and Laycey. He is also survived by his brothers: Jeffery (Bobbie) Newson; Herman (Veronica) Newson; Mike (Maria) Newson; Kerry-Glen Thompson; and Ronnie Doss and his sisters: Marva Newson, Varvara Anderson, Debra Doss, and Charlotte (Grover) Moore and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends who will always remember Leon Dwayne Doss. Leon was preceded in death by his mother Esther Lee Newson and his brothers Curtis Doss and Hubert Newson.
