At the age of 54, Loida, wife, daughter, sister, “tita” (aunt), and friend has now joined our Lord and will be remembered by her loving husband, Alexander, along with six other siblings back home in the Philippines. She will also be forever remembered by her numerous nephews and nieces, extended family and friends. Loida came to the United States in 1993 brimming with that rigorous desire to succeed. With resolute persistence, she battles with the odds, leaving no room to err. Working three jobs gave her no excuse to stop. She recalls her life then growing up and that inspired her even more to carry out her dreams. Every sweat and muscle she heaps puts her further towards reaching that level of comfort in life not just for herself but for all the people she loved the most – her dear family.
Her perseverance paved the way for her late mother, Faustina Esser Jose to have a taste of beautiful America. This was a promise made to her Mom that she, so happily, fulfilled. Although the rest of her siblings are back home in the Philippines, she thought of them constantly. Like a mother to her children, she played the role obligingly. What she had, she gave…
Many will remember Loida not only for the hardworking person that she is, but for her great love and devotion to her husband, family, friends, and to the people around her. Life is precious and is a gift from God and so at the end of each passing day, what matters really the most is that we have truly loved. Adieu our beloved Loida…Rest now in God’s loving arms.
