She was born December 10, 1942 in Sison, Pangasinan, Philippines to Federico Peduca and Lucena Mapalo. She found her soulmate at the age of 24 when she married Celestino Isla Cabatu in Sison, Pangasinan. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary last June 19, 2016.
Lily, as friends and family called her, received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in Pangasinan Normal School in Bayambang, Pangasinan. She spent most of her career as a 3rd grade public school teacher. She was promoted to a Master Teacher I position for a couple of years before she came to Las Vegas in 1992.
She has been a faithful member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church for 31 years.
Lydia is survived by her husband Tony; children Winston, Daphne, John, Leah, Melvin, Neng and Tona; and 18 grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Palm Eastern Mortuary. There will be a public viewing from 10:00am-1:00pm, followed by a memorial service at 1:00pm-2:00pm. Burial will immediately follow at Palm Eastern Cemetery.
