Margaret (Peggy) Ogilvie Ming Bartee was gifted to this world on June 5th, 1932, in Birkenhead Liverpool, England, to Mr. Ching Ming (alias) and to Mrs. Norah Mary Jamieson Moy Sang Ming. Peggy was blessed to be the youngest daughter of ten siblings (five sons and five daughters). As a child she and her family lived through the perilous times of World War II; for which she shared countless stories with her loved ones, grandchildren and great grandchildren throughout her life time. She attended Saint Patrick School in Liverpool and graduated at the age of fourteen.
After completing school she worked in the publishing industry as a printing, bookbinding and paper worker, until she married Richard Bartee on March 2nd, 1957, who preceded her in death. To this union was born Donna (Maurice Washington), Richard Jr., John (Terese), and Philip (Katrina). While married she lived in several States throughout the U.S. as the wife of an U.S. Airman, before finally settling in Las Vegas, NV in 1970; where she worked as a civilian on Nellis Air Force Base and retired after 28 years, in 1997. She was an avid reader and she loved to knit. She loved her family and holidays, she loved Bingo, English sweets and the food of her homeland, and she loved to tell everyone to “smile”.
Heaven gained an angel on Thursday, February 9, 2017. Our beloved Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and all nine of her siblings: Sheila, Dennis, Nora, Philip, Elsie, John, Kevin, Terrence and Kathleen, and she leaves behind her children and close niece Kim (John Lamb), 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave, Henderson, NV.
