

Marilyn touched the lives of many people. She was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great-grandmother, a sister and a friend. Those who had the pleasure of knowing her will remember as a kind, loving and compassionate person. She was the daughter of Adrienne and Conrad Beauregard. Marilyn grew up in Holyoke, Massachusetts along with her younger brother Conrad and her younger sister Janice. Marilyn had a happy high school experience. She graduated from Precious Blood High School in Holyoke, Massachusetts in 1956. Her favorite classes were bookkeeping and math. While in High School, Marilyn joined the Civil Air Patrol, where she met Roger Cartier. After High School, Marilyn went on to an in-residence nursing school and earned her Nursing degree from Holyoke Hospital School of Nursing in 1960. She was a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Nevada. Marilyn married the love of her life, Roger Cartier on April 28, 1962 in Middletown, Pennsylvania. Marilyn and Roger have three children, a son Marc, and two daughters Darlene and Karen. Roger joined the Air Force in 1960. As an Air Force Family, during their marriage, Roger and Marilyn and their children lived in Pennsylvania, France, Holland, California, Nevada, and Japan. The Cartier family returned to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1981. Roger retired from the Air Force in 1986 and Marilyn retired from a 20-year career as a Registered Nurse in 1996. During her retirement Marilyn enjoyed playing bingo, going to movies, gardening and traveling. Her favorite vacations were cruises. In 1989 Roger and Marilyn welcomed their first grandchild, Marissa. Their grandson, Alec, was born in 1998. They later became proud great-grandparents of Abrianna, Madyson, and soon to be born Skarlett. She is survived by her husband Roger; her children Marc, Darlene and Karen; her grandchildren Alec and Marissa; her great-grandchildren Abrianna, Madyson, and Skarlett; her brother Conrad; and sister Janice. Marilyn was kind and caring person, and she was a vital part of the lives of her family and friends. Marilyn leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will miss her dearly.
