He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War, after which he returned to Las Vegas where he met and married Judy Mathis. They had two sons, Stacey and Sean. Mark’s first love was being a musician, but became a sheet metal worker by trade.
Mark loved playing his guitar loud, driving his corvette fast and watching old westerns.
A free spirit with a wild heart, Mark marched to the beat of his own drum. Everyone knew he was one of a kind.
Mark is survived by his sons, Stacey and Sean Gearing; his brother Scott and nephew Zack Gearing; and some great friends he loved and never forgot.
Mark was at home when he sped off peacefully into the sunset.
There will be a Celebration of his life and Memorial Service held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
