Mark Edward Sowinski, 47, a 20-year resident of Las Vegas, passed away at home Wednesday, April 14, 2010. Mark is survived by his loving wife, Stacy; mother, Eileen; father, Robert; sister, Christina; and nephew, Jakob. Mark was a proud member of Teamsters Local #631 for 10 plus years, working most recently as a lead man and working steward, with responsibilities relating to the trade show industry, held at the Convention Center and various convention sites. Through the years, he cultivated many lasting friendships with his co-workers and experienced great satisfaction in his convention work which included frequent problem-solving. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will greet friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 23, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., in Las Vegas. A priest from St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Henderson will conduct a memorial service beginning at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favorite charity.
