Marlene Page Luna, our beloved mother died August 18, 2025, peacefully in her sleep. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Luna and her daughter Lisa Luna. She is survived by her son Ralph and wife Jackie, and her daughter Geri and partner Tommie, and her niece/little sister Charmaigne and husband Ed.
Marlene aka Molly aka Mar was the heart and soul of family. She was a grandmother to Diego, Jacob, Sara, Alicia, Mark, Jon and Jared. Her grandkids gave her the greatest joys of her life, her great grandchildren Gabriel, Deviny, Bradley, Brayden, Max, Violet, Samuel, Santiago, Sebastian, Fabian and Julien. She was also exceptionally lucky to have met her great-great granddaughter MylaJo. She was also a great aunt to Jenina (and her children Salvador, Bobbi, Abraham and Ruby), and Monica (and her son Felix) and many more.
Marlene’s home was open to all family and friends at any time. In fact, numerous family members lived with her during different times of their lives. She was so proud of her and our dad's family that she would sit and tell us stories and the history of both sides of the family.
There are too many family members and friends to mention them all, but you all know who you are. She loved you with all her heart. As you know she was the queen of staying in touch.
Marlene was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. That was where she met her husband Ralph when he was in the Air Force. They moved to Las Vegas in 1956. She started working in the police department when it was still the Sheriff's department. At that time, she worked directly with Sheriff Ralph Lamb.
After she left the Sheriff's department Molly went to work at the District Attorney's office. Through hard work she was able to rise from legal secretary to head of HR for the support staff. After more than 30 years of service she retired and went to work for her best friend Rex Bell.
When she left Rex’s office, Mar spent time keeping in touch with friends and family. We are all aware of how much she loved to go to lunches and dinners with everyone. And unless she wasn’t feeling well, she would go to any party, birthday party, wedding etc. that she was invited to. She loved to socialize.
Molly was a force of nature who let her opinions known. Whether her family agreed or not she was right more than not.
Marlene would love that all her family and friends were together for her Celebration of Life. She would want everyone to remember that soon all the memories of her will be happy ones. Not ones of sadness.
