Martin Olondriz Tuason passed away on November 19, 2025, at the age of 51. He was born on May 23, 1974 in Manila, Philippines.
Martin Tuason, a name that carried weight-- yet, somehow, this man was the easiest man to talk to, making you feel like family right away. He was frank, genuine, friendly, and kind, always ready to do what needed to be done. As busy as he was as President and CEO of Armscor/ Rock Island Armory, he ALWAYS made himself available for everyone. Jokingly known as "jefe", "mayor" or "congressman" due to his lovable personality, clear vision, decisiveness, and ability to persuasively unite diverse people under common interests. He was a PEACEMAKER, who sought to initiate positive changes for governments, companies, and personal lives.
Martin Tuason, first and foremost, was the dutiful only-son of Maria Concepcion "Cookie" Olondriz Tuason and Demetrio Celso "Bolo" Tuason, the little "big" brother to Lisa Tuason, uncle and Ninong to Amaia Tuason Ravago. His most proud role was not in the boardroom, but as a fiercely loving husband to Tammy (Camille) Arnaiz Tuason, and a most devoted father to Nate (Ignacio) Arroyo Tuason, Olivia Tuason, James Tuason, and a father figure to many more. Outside of his family he left an indelible mark on every life that he touched-- and for one man, he managed to touch so many lives around the world.
Martin was a man who at the end, resembled Christ by being the embodiment and typification of love. He was, as Love is defined in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7: patient, kind, does not dishonor others, is not self-seeking, is not easily angered, keeps no records of wrongs, does not delight in evil, but rejoices with truth; always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and above all: ALWAYS perseveres. What an honorable and noble man he was!
Like Christ, Martin voluntarily carried on his back a heavy cross, the weight of the world, the burdens of others, a weight which would crush any ordinary man. Yet, he carried this weight so willingly, so graciously, and without complaining-- out of duty and love, in his big heart. He truly cared for others.
He was smart, fearless, gentle, teasing, and kind. We have a giant void to fill in the world today and going forward. Let us carry his legacy forward in the spirit of godliness, family, integrity, service, and brotherly love, as Martin would have wanted us to do. He has united us in a web of friendship, that we ought to strive to maintain, as he was so good at keeping us all united.
God bless Martin. God bless us.
With much love and pain, Tammy
