Mary Elizabeth Behnke

She was born on October 23, 1944 in upper state New York. She graduated from St. Pascals Baylon High School (St. Albans, New York) in 1962. Shortly after high school she married Roger Behnke and began adventures being an at home mother to her daughter Stacey and traveling the United States and Canada, and eventually settling in to Mokena, Il.

After divorcing in 1982, she began her insurance career with Allstate and later with Interstate and Riverstone Insurance companies until her retirement in 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada to be closer to family.

She was a devoted Momma to her beloved greyhounds Zoey & Phin which generated a love and passion for the greyhound rescue and later supporting the Streetdogz rescue. In addition to her love for volunteering, she enjoyed her weekly coffee clutch with friends and Friday Night Bingo.

She is survived by her daughter, Stacey Morrone; son-in-law Robert Morrone; and brother Robert Hayden.
