Matthew Tyler Weir

Matthew was born August 6, 1983 in Las Vegas. He graduated from Durango High School. Matt then attended UNLV, ultimately graduating from CSN Culinary Arts Program in 2020. He worked over the years with Déjà vu in Las Vegas and Romantix in Denver, Co. before becoming a chef at a local restaurant in Las Vegas.

Matt was an avid sports fan and loved his University of Kentucky Basketball team and all pro Detroit teams, which we’ve never known why he picked them. He seemed to have a photographic memory for players, their teams and their statistics. Matt played baseball from the age of five through his High School years.

Matt loved his cats Pele, RIP, Kai and Kylie. He also loved his friends who live all over the country now and kept up with them all. Matt will be missed by all.

Matt loved to travel and his favorite place was Puerto Vallarto with his friends and any warm beachy place.

Matt is survived by his mother: Nancy Frazier of Las Vegas, father: Christopher (Lori) Weir and half-brothers: Drew Weir and Jason Weir, both of Las Vegas.

At Matthew’s request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Matt’s name to Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions Las Vegas or the ASPCA.
