

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Melissa Rose Campanella, age 50, of Henderson, Nevada, who left this earthly life unexpectedly on July 9, 2025. Melissa was a cherished wife, stepmom, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend whose radiant spirit touched countless lives.
Born on November 12, 1974, in Jersey City, New Jersey, to Angela Stoll (Farese) and the late Joseph Policastro. She was raised in Marlboro, New Jersey, where she cultivated strong values rooted in the importance of family.
Melissa’s early education was deeply grounded in her Catholic faith. She attended St. Leo’s Grammar School in Lincroft, New Jersey and St. John Vianney High School in Holmdel, New Jersey. She later relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada to attend UNLV earning her Bachelor of Science in Marketing in 1997.
Melissa’s professional journey began in Las Vegas, where she built a vibrant network of friends through her work at Green Valley Athletic Club and a local doctor’s office. In time, she found her true calling in commercial real estate working alongside her business partner Terry Hamilton and her extended work family at New Market Advisors. Her intelligence, integrity, and determination contributed to great success.
In 2003, Melissa met the love of her life and soulmate, Antonio “Tony” Campanella. Their bond was unwavering. Marrying in 2010, they built a beautiful life together, rich in love, laughter, and unforgettable adventures. Their journey was one of true friendship, respect and joy; an example to all who knew them.
Melissa was known for her boundless energy, warm heart, and infectious laughter. She embodied her personal motto, “Live life to the fullest”. Her generosity knew no bounds, always offering a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Her smile lit up every room, and her bubbly, compassionate spirit was a radiant light in the lives of so many.
Though her light has been extinguished here on this earth, her spirit lives on in the countless memories shared and in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. She was truly a force of nature, a woman of tremendous strength and enduring love.
She leaves behind her husband, the love of her life, Antonio “Tony” Campanella. Her beloved pup, Rigatoni. Stepson Nino (Araceli) Campanella. Mother Angela (Tom) Stoll. Stepmother Gail Policastro. Sister Johanna (Ken) Smith. Loving nephews Jordan and Logan Smith. Her extended family, the Campanella family consisting of sister-in-laws Rosa, Stephanie, Mary, Joanne, and Kathleen. Brother-in-laws Frank, Santo, and John. As well as ten nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends.
She is preceded in death by her father Joseph Policastro. Maternal grandparents Nicholas and Rose Farese. Paternal grandparents John and Christina Policastro.
