Michael S. (Doc) Ricciardo, 73, took his final ride home to heaven on June 30, 2025, after a brief illness. He passed peacefully at his home in Moapa, Nevada, with Catherine by his side.
Born July 29, 1951, in Rochester, New York, to Rocco and Enes Ricciardo, Mike lived life full throttle—working hard, playing harder, and loving with his whole heart.
Mike was a man of many passions. He loved cars, and guns—fixing them, restoring them, and bragging about them. Over the years, he brought plenty of old beauties back to life. Mike spent most of his career running presses at large commercial print facilities in Las Vegas, and made countless friends along the way.
Mike's true love was the open road. A proud biker and longtime President of the Pirates MC, Mike was never happier than when cruising on his Harley with his biker brothers. He was a man of loyalty, laughter, and leather.
He had a soft side, too. Mike adored the New York Yankees, binge-watched the original Star Trek series like it was a religion, and told stories so good they should’ve been published. His greatest love, though, was family. He cherished time with his daughters, Kelley and Emily, spoiled his grandchildren, and made every niece and nephew feel like the favorite. Years after losing his beloved second wife, Rhonda in 2009, Mike met Catherine, and together they shared a life full of adventure.
Mike also had a big heart for animals—his faithful dog Greta and Baby Kitty miss him dearly.
Mike leaves behind Catherine; daughters Kelley and Emily; brothers David, Joseph, and Peter; five grandchildren—Anthony, Timothy, Chloe, Ryan, and Olivia; and a tribe of nieces, nephews, and friends who all thought Uncle Mike was one of the coolest guys around.
He is reunited in heaven with his parents, Rocco and Enes Ricciardo; his brother Alan; his first wife Kathleen; second wife Rhonda; and his in-laws J. Lynn and Nina Whipple.
Two memorial services for Mike will be held at Palm Eastern Mortuary; the first on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, and a second on Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with the committal service to follow immediately from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
