Milagros "Mama Mila" De Blassie

Milagros De Blassie aka "Mama Mila", 88, of San Francisco, passed away peacefully in her home on April 5, 2023. She was born in Baguio, Philippines and came to San Francisco in 1981 as her loving sister, Trinidad, petitioned her. She worked as a proud housekeeper for several years under Mr. Kay in San Francisco and cooked at Baguio Grill in Hercules.

She was passionate about cooking, dancing, collecting Barbies, dressing glamorously, and enjoying delicious food. Mama Mila was compassionate, loving, kind, silly, and adventurous. She often wore a big smile on her face and wanted those around her to be happy. She was proud to be the mother of a large family and loved every single one of them.

Mama Mila is survived by her older sister, Trinidad Cablayan and her younger brother, Benjamin San Pedro; her 7 children - Lourdes Genove, Corazon Hoang, Edmilani Matias, Reymond Matias, George Matias, Cecilia Matias, and Edgar Matias; her 20 grandchildren - Bernard Bernal, Charmaine Acuna, Joanelle Hoang, Janice Dispo, Christian Bernal, AJ Eslava, Matthew Matias, Andrew Matias, Heather Tabios, Kathleen Matias, Chelsea Eslava, Chassidy Tabios, Alex Matias, Aaron Matias, Samantha Matias, Ryan Matias, Angelo Matias, Maxeen Matias, Francine Matias, and Zaccheo Matias; and her 15 great-grandchildren.
