Olga Maria Lopez

Our beloved mother and grandmother Olga was born March 13, 1930, in Diriamba, Nicaragua to Adan & Mercedes Leon. She was the second oldest of ten children. In the mid 1950’s Olga with her late husband Federico of 53 years immigrated to the United States, and settled in Brooklyn, NY for over 30 years. In 1986 they moved to Las Vegas, NV where they owned and operated Olga’s Jewelry for over 10 years and lived out the rest of their lives.

Olga was a jeweler who worked in Manhattan for over 40 years. She also excelled in the art of creating beautiful handmade beaded necklaces, needle point, and crocheting everything from her bed spread to baby booties. She enjoyed traveling, crossword puzzles and played the double diamond slot machines and spending time with her beloved toy poodle Summer. Olive Garden and Red Lobster were her top restaurant picks. She admired Vincente Fernandez’s music.

Olga is preceded in death by her spouse Federico, her granddaughter Olga Marie.

Olga is survived by her children Federico (Xochitl) Isolina (Emilio) Son Carlos, daughters Cecilia and Ligia. Her grandchildren Freddy, Shanna, Carlos, Xiomara, Tito, Marcos, Claudia, Bianca, Anthony, Christopher and Nicholas. Her Great grandchildren Alexis, Elisa, Angelina, Elijah, Geneva, Isaiah, Adrianna, Emilio, Briana, Giovanni, Lilianna, Eastlyn and Sophia.

A visitation for Olga will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A funeral service will occur Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 5485 E Charleston Blvd,, Las Vegas, NV 89142. A committal service will occur Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Palm Eastern Cemetery, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A reception will occur Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
