Owen Russell Jones

Owen was a loving soul who always looked out for those he cared for. His big brother Ethan, his little sister Luna and his parents Ellen and Chris, grandparents Philip & Sondra Harth, Peter and Nada Jones, his family including Aunt Susan, Uncle Adam and Cousins Brandon, Eric and Matty.

Owen also was a loyal and caring companion to his close friends, Christos, Dennis, Christal, Chase, Leo, Isaiah, Rico, and Nick, whom he grew up with in Henderson and enjoyed spending time hanging out in person and online as he was an avid gamer.

Owen was Vegas Born and graduated from Green Valley High School. Owen loved cars and had plans to pursue a career in automotive and trucking. He loved to drive and learned to drive stick shift at 15.

He enjoyed UFC, hockey, playing basketball, sneakers, cologne, style, music, travel, camping and the outdoors, hiking around Redrock, Mt. Charleston, Lake Mead, Utah and Sedona. He always looked forward to road trips, especially to California to vacation and visit family.

We will all miss Owen’s caring nature, his subtle Buddha-like smile, his kind attitude and calming presence, and his sense of humor.

His father will miss his companionship, camping trips with Owen, off-roading in their jeep, and their talks about movies and life.

His mother will miss his caring and ever supportive presence going out to eat with her sons and hiking in nature with Owen. She always said how incredibly lucky she was to have her wonderful Owen as her son. Each and every day she counted her blessings and never took the days she had with him for granted. He was her absolute everything and her best friend! She said “my son my angel my light taken without my permission. Saying I will miss him is not saying enough. For there is no word to describe how I will miss my beautiful son Owen. Owen, I love you, I love you, I love you and many many times more.” Owen left a mark on everyone’s life! He was a beaming light wherever he went.

He was the first to the top of any hill, rock or trail and often climbed higher than any of us could follow.

You are loved by us all Owen and will live on in our hearts forever!
