He passed peacefully in his sleep, attended by his wife and daughter who lovingly and tenderly cared for him in his final days.
Pablo or Jun, as he was fondly and lovingly called by everyone, was the son of Pablo Sr. and Gorgoni; brother of Jesus, Nardo, Lourdes, Zenaida, Nitz, Danilo, Amado, Mario and Elena; is survived by his wife, Pina; their children, Paul, Theresa, Catherine and Peter; grandchildren, Gabrielle, Roman, Alexander, Etienne, Maia and Ava; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jun graduated with a Civil Engineering degree from the Mapua Institute of Technology in Manila, Philippines in 1964. He became an accredited professional civil engineer upon his passing of the Phil. National CE exams.
Jun and Pina got married on June 26, 1966, shortly after they both graduated from their respective universities. A year later, they welcomed their first born, Paul, followed by their other 3 children every 2 years later.
In 1972, Jun left for the US to work, seek and prepare a better future for his family, who followed him a few years later. Jun worked as a professional civil engineer at the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission for 25 years until his retirement in 1998.
His colleagues always had good words for the hard work and dedication he devoted to his job.
Upon their retirement, Jun and his wife Pina then moved to Las Vegas where they proceeded to experience the pleasures of retirement - a new house, parties with friends, games at the casinos, shows, outings and cruises to Europe, etc. - creating a lot of happy memories to treasure forever!
Jun and Pina also set aside part of their retirement to serve as active volunteers at the Shrine of the Most Holy Redeemer. Jun served as a Eucharistic minister. Friends always talked of the happy times they have with Jun because of his jolly nature, he was always cracking jokes and making everybody laugh.
Jun loved to dance, he and his wife Pina were perfect dancing partners; it was always a joy to watch them dance at the parties of family & friends.
Jun also took a lot of pleasure working in their backyard which he planted with all kinds of fruit trees, vegetables and flowering plants like roses, bougainvilleas, etc. Their backyard was always a place where guests loved to gather and relax in a paradise-like setting.
