Paul was born on February 23, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Henderson, Nevada in 1994 when he and his wife, Gail, came here to pursue new career opportunities and to forge relationships that would hopefully last throughout their lives. He was lucky enough to do both!
After leaving the business world, Paul taught Master degree classes in Business and Finance at an area university and worked as a computer specialist for Clark County School District; the latter position he maintained until his retirement in 2013.
Once free to do so, Paul enjoyed golfing, attending the theatre, drinking wine and eating good food with friends and family. Above all, he and his wife of nearly 55 years, Gail, travelled: far, wide, and often. Paul was indeed, the amateur travel agent supreme!
Paul was preceded in death by his mother and father, Thelma and Raymond Spindler, his sister, Jill Rifkin, and his in-laws Lorraine and William Spencer.
Survivors include his wife, Gail, his sisters, Patricia Shimp (Tim) and Jeanine Parolini; his nephews and nieces, Raymond, Peter, and Edward Slabinger, David (Brie) Kadolph, Kristine (Arvin) Benavides, Ryan and Adam Kadolph, as well as his 4 beloved and beautiful grand-nieces.
Finally, Paul loved the many cats, past and present, who shared the home he and Gail made for and with them. They were indeed, his “fur-babies” and made his world a better place to be.
You were part of his life, and that meant the world to Paul and was all he needed. However, should you wish to do something more, please consider donating to the Poppy Foundation, dedicated to the care of un-adoptable, medically-dependent, and special needs cats in Las Vegas, or to a charity of your choice. Paul filled our yard with silk flowers, after all!
A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at Palm Mortuary - Eastern, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123, US, on April 7, 2026, at 11:00 am.
