

Pauline N. Lachance, 78, of Las Vegas, passed away November 14, 2013. She was born and raised in Rhode Island. She was a graduate of Pawtucket West Senior High School (now called Shea High School), class of 1952. After high school, she worked as a secretary for the Stackbin Corp. In 1957, she wed Robert E. Lachance Sr., with whom she was happily married for 50 years. After marriage, she devoted many years to raising her family and working in the retail field prior to moving to Las Vegas in 1985. After relocating to Las Vegas, she began working for the Liberace Museum. Due to her extensive knowledge on Liberace's career, she was appointed historian/archivist and was called upon frequently for media interviews. She and her husband had the wonderful opportunity of knowing Liberace personally, and attended many of his personal receptions and opening night parties over the years, and she became acquainted with many others who were part of the Liberace organization. In later years, she became involved with the annual birthday celebrations and met fans from all over the world. Pauline had a very outgoing personality and a large social network of cherished friends, both near and far. She will always be remembered for her kindness, thoughtfulness, love of people and her enthusiasm for show business. She was especially grateful for having four wonderful children who brought a great deal of pleasure and happiness to her life. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father and mother, Maurice and Jeanette Martel Leone; sisters, Lucille and Constance; and brother, David. She is survived by her three sons, Robert Jr. and David of Las Vegas, and Lawrence of Maine; a daughter, Marie and her husband, Carl Sanderson of Connecticut; grandsons, Jason and Christopher Sanderson of Connecticut; and granddaughters, Stephanie and Sarah Lachance of Rhode Island. Visitation will be from 10:00am – 1:00pm on Thursday, November 21, 2013 with funeral services following, both at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services following, at Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Arrangements under the direction of Palm Eastern Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
