Susy was born on June 9,1930 in Buenos Aires, Argentina and was a Las Vegas resident since 1976. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Leon and two sons, Gustavo and Carlos. She is survived by her son, Leo; two daughters-in-law, Rita and Nidia; two grandsons, Rodrigo and Daniel; and her two “sisters for life”, Susy and Rosita.
Susy’s life journey was a long one filled with cherished memories and experiences in the lives of all who knew her. She was a woman of immense strength and resilience. She was loving, generous, loyal, noble, independent, optimistic, fierce, and unstoppable when she set her mind to do something. Her most precious and important accomplishment was her family. She had the heart of a lioness, and she loved and protected her family unconditionally.
Susy was a simple person who enjoyed the simple things in life. She and Leon enjoyed playing bingo and slot machines ever since moving to Las Vegas with her family. She retired at the age of 70 and loved to garden, nurture, and tend to her beautiful plants. She also loved knitting and would make garments for everyone she loved.
Susy’s home was always impeccably clean, and everything was always in its specific place. She loved cooking for her family. In her later years, when she lived alone, she still loved taking care of her dog Bambi. Towards the end of her days, even when she couldn’t or wouldn’t eat for herself, she was always concerned about what her family would be eating that day. She was always direct and to the point. If you were in her life, it meant she loved you unconditionally.
She was an incredible woman who endured tremendous hardships throughout her long life. She tried not to impose her emotions on others. When she was sad, she would try not to show it so as to not make those around her feel what she was feeling. She was one of a kind. She will be missed infinitely by all who love her and she will always remain in their hearts and minds forever.
