Rolando G. Murillo

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rolando “Roland” Gatbonton Murillo, a man full of love and laughter to all those around him. Roland was born on May 11, 1959 in Manila, Philippines. At the age of 66, passed away September 28, 2025 at Infinity Hospice Care in Las Vegas, Nevada. Through all his years, he has built his own path and always brought out the best of the people around him with his wisdom, humor and unwavering spirit of perseverance.

Roland was a man of many traits which was always seen through his plethora of hobbies he had enjoyed doing. His love for tinkering had him working at Excalibur since 2006. His tinkering always lead to his spirit of joy and wonder, which translated into lessons he imparted onto those around him.

Roland’s love of tinkering was seen deeply with his fixation on his cars. He was always in the garage working on his car, motorcycle, bicycle, or even RC car. But even though he was always tinkering in the garage he still enjoyed living a more active lifestyle. Roland loves to go mountain biking, as well as general hiking with friends and family.

Roland was preceded in death by his mother, Fe Murillo, and father, Ricardo Murillo.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Renita Ogerio Murillo; one son, Allan Cris Nunag; two daughters, Victoria Ian Murillo Flores, Valerie Ian Ogerio Murillo; three grandchildren; Sarah Jean Nunag, Aurora Lee Nunag, Megumin Murillo Flores, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.

A memorial service for Rolando will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 4:00 PM at Palm Southwest Mortuary, 7979 W. Warm Springs Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89113, where loved ones and friends are invited to share stories about him and honor his life.
