Roy will always be remembered for his wickedly dry sense of humor and the ability to mediate and patiently defuse even the most serious of situations. He was a young man who grew up quickly during the Great Depression and war-time, raised to a significant degree by the United States Navy. Roy always found a satisfactory solution based simply on his stalwart belief in the “Golden Rule”. Roy earned and held the respect of the men he served with, most of whom are gone now. He will be remembered and loved by his Family and Friends forever and will be greatly missed. Roy is survived by his wife of 68 years, Elsie, sons Ron and Bruce, grandchildren Sarah, Corey, Amy and Kristen, and great-grandchildren Haley, Audrey and little Hailey Ann.
