Susan Lee Wilson Emling, 60, a selfless jack-of-all-trades, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015, in Las Vegas, Nevada with her loving family by her side. She was born to the late R.G. and Glenna Wilson on May 11, 1954 in Provo, Utah.
Susan was an exceptional Mother, a beloved Wife, and a one in a million Grandmother to her most prized things in life, her family. She did the difficult, thankless work of caring for and rearing children in sickness and in health. She later worked for her father's business as Safety Director, which her family was extremely proud of.
She was the epitome of how a woman brings love into the world by her dedication and devotion to her children and husband. There wasn't anything she wouldn't do for her children and they knew it. When someone totally sacrifices, is unconditionally there for you, never passes judgment, and even embraces your flaws, it's impossible to do anything less but love them with all your heart.
Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many. To know her was to love her. She gave so much and demanded so little. Her strength was evident to many and her desire to support and help anyone she loved was more immense than most.
She enjoyed spoiling her loved ones, yard work, baking, Macayo's, watching soap operas, Christmas, sleepovers with her grandchildren and needlework, leaving many family heirlooms for us to treasure. She was an excellent cook, a family legend of her fried chicken and potato salad!
She leaves behind numerous family members to cherish her memory. They mainly include: her beloved Husband of 32 years Arthur Emling of Henderson and Millie Mae, her precious Yorkie.
Her six Children and Partners: Tonya Ondov (Scott) of Arizona, Cory Lozensky of Las Vegas, Vanessa Cervantes (Martin) of Washington, Stephanie Johnson (Gregory), Arthur Emling Jr. and her only daughter-in-law, (Hillary Hetzel) and Amanda Emling, all of Las Vegas.
Her fifteen Grandchildren: Vincent, Brandon and Morgan Zugaj; Whitney and Zayna Tatum; Darrien Lozensky; Aliviah McCoy; Krea and Teana Reed; Ana, Bella and Martin Jr. Cervantes; NaGeree and Kyle Johnson; Braelin Emling. Susan was also expecting her first great-grandchild in July 2015 followed by her next great-grandchild in September 2015.
Her five Siblings: Danny Wilson of Indiana, Diana Wilson (Sadie Mae) of Henderson, Scott Wilson (Deb) of Mesquite, Tyler Wilson of Las Vegas and Christine Nichols (Ross) of Indiana.
Visitation will be at 4 p.m. followed by the Service at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue. Burial will be at 10:40 a.m. the following day, Friday, March 27, 2015, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Highway in Boulder City. Both days will have celebration gatherings immediately following. Please see her children for further details.
She was our rock, our anchor, and our truth. She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. It's her turn to be carefree and finally breathe easy.
