

Thul Chey, age 73, of Las Vegas, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024 in Las Vegas. He was born August 3, 1950 in Cambodia and had been a Las Vegas area resident for the past 11 years. Prior to living in Las Vegas, he lived in Anchorage, Alaska for more than 30 years.
Mr. Chey worked in security for BP Oil for twenty years, retiring in 1999. He served in the Cambodian Air Force, reaching the rank of lieutenant, and earned his Master’s Degree in English while in Cambodia.
He enjoyed playing volleyball, spending time with his family, and was always there for the community; helping any way he could. He was a member of the ‘Bridge Builder Community’ in Anchorage. Thul was a grill master and loved grilling T-Bone steaks.
He was preceded in death by his daughter: Madeline Chey and two brothers.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years: Ann Sam Chey; daughters: Nataline (Kenneth) Bellamy, Poleth (Kevin) Miller and Stephanie (Michael) Lewis; grandchildren: Audrey, Bryce, Brianna, Anthony, Angelynne, Keanu, and Kalyana; two sisters in Cambodia, and one brother in France.
Private family services are being planned.
