

He was born Antonio Sydiongco on December 23, 1930 in Tanauan, Leyte, Philippines to Carlos and Eleutaria Sydiongco, and was the fifth of 11 children. He was married to Luzminda Go and patriarch of the Sydiongco family.
Tony received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Santo Tomas in 1954. He married Gloria Salazar in 1955, with whom he had five children: Nicolas, Carlos Chad, Antonio Jr., Joselito, and daughter Tina Bambi. He practiced architecture in the Philippines and in Thailand, Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi, Taiwan, Japan, Guam, and Saipan with a multinational construction company. He met his second wife, Luzminda, in Guam, and they were married in Hong Kong in 1971. They moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where his son, Marc, and daughter, Lyzel, were born. Tony worked as an architect until he retired in 1995 and continued his passion as an independent consultant. His creative contributions can be seen in several iconic Las Vegas structures, such as the Flamingo Hotel, the McCarran Airport, the Venetian, and his residence on Hacienda Avenue.
Tony loved his family and friends, enjoyed traveling, dancing, storytelling, and eating good food. He was larger than life, and his laugh was hearty and contagious.
He is survived by his wife, Luzminda; their son, Marc, and daughter, Lyzel; his sons Nicolas, Carlos Chad, Antonio Jr., Joselito, and daughter Tina Bambi; grandchildren, Gilliane, John, Carlene, Justin, David, Kevin, Sarah, Hannah, Jacob, Celena, Joshua, Michael, Ryan, Sydney and Elyse; great-granddaughter, Keada; and siblings Adoracion and Arturo.
A visitation for Tony will be held Monday, January 28, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, all at 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
