surrounded by friends and family on August 27, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada after a brief bout with stomach cancer.
Born on July 21, 1950, she was the 4th of eight children to Chi Hoa Tu and Nguyet Ha. She found her life partner at the age of 24, when she married Buu Lam on April 29, 1974 in Saigon, Vietnam. In 1980, she migrated to America with her family where she and her husband provided a stable and safe home for their three daughters – Anna, Maeling, and Jenny.
Irene pursued many interests but was most passionate about
Singing, Cooking, and Traveling. Later in life,
Irene found peace and happiness in God and applied her hardworking and loving nature to become a dedicated and devout Christian.
As a caring wife, mother and grandmother, Irene was always ready to enthusiastically share photos and videos of her family in the most joyous of times. With her endless curiosity, she carried a bright and beautiful smile,
Contagious to everyone around her.
