Virginia "Ginny" Martin

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Ginny Martin on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at the age of 75. Virginia Irene Martin was born on October 6, 1949 in Moline, Illinois. Her parents, Gaylord Lee and Virginia Alice moved to California when she was young. They raised their family of 5 children in the Catholic faith. Ginny moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1993 with her daughter, where she remained for the rest of her life.

Ginny was known for her beautiful smile and inner strength. Her kind and giving personality made her beloved by all. She was an avid runner who enjoyed scrapbooking. Watching her grandchildren play sports and reading books with them filled her sole with love. Her positive attitude and brave spirit inspire us to be the best we can be.

Ginny is survived by her brothers and sister, Michael, Patrick, Cathy, and Tom; her daughter, Heather; and grandchildren Frankie and Sydney.

A special thank you to the staff at Silverado Red Rock Memory Care for loving my mom and caring for her while she was living with dementia and Alzheimer’s.

The celebration of life ceremony will be held on Sunday, March 16 at Palm Mortuary located at 7600 S Eastern Ave. Las Vegas NV 89123. We welcome those that can join us in person starting at 10:30 am. The services will begin at 11:00 am, followed by a gathering at her daughter, Heather’s house. A live link for those that can not join us will be posted closer to the services.
