William "Will" Grey Shook, 12, of Las Vegas, Nevada died unexpectedly on June 30, 2014 in San Diego, California. William was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 15, 2001. Will attended school at New Horizons Academy where he was an exemplary student, leader, and friend. William was an avid reader and absolutely loved cats. William was extremely funny, could play the piano, was a fierce WOW goblin warlock and could beat any video game. He was also an active member of Boy Scout Troop 50, and enjoyed spending time with his instructors and friends at Sport-Social. The world is a much sadder place without him. William is survived by his parents, John and Julie Shook, also of Las Vegas; his sister, Alexandria Shook, his grandmother, Billie Harvey, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and his grandfather, Byron Shook, of Hobart, Oklahoma. William was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Louise Shook, of Hobart, Oklahoma, and grandfather, Jack Harvey, of Lone Grove, Oklahoma. William is survived by extensive family including Jacci Southerland of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, Sandee and Bryan Graham of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, Randall Harvey of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, Steve and Laurie Shook, of Murphy, Texas, Greg and Jana Shook of Flower Mound, Texas, Scott and Lynn Shook of Bloomington, Illinois, Jarin and Kim Southerland of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Kara and Matt Idleman of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, Randon Harvey of Dallas, Texas, Meghan Southerland of Las Vegas, Nevada, Christopher Shook of Murphy, Texas, Kevin Price of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, Shane Harvey of Dallas, Texas, Brett Southerland of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, Kathleen Shook of St. Louis, Missouri, Benjamin Shook of Murphy, Texas, Austin Shook of Bloomington, Illinois, Mattox Idleman, of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, Reid Idleman, of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, Kennedy Southerland, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Cooper Southerland, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. William will also be deeply missed by his "furry family" Ember, Lily, Happy, Brooklyn and Finn. Private services will be held. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, all gifts and memorials be made in the form of donations to Sport-Social, Las Vegas and New Horizons Center for Learning.
