life devoted to God and committed to her friends and family.
She leaves behind: Her husband StevenFraasa, her daughter Abi Norris and her son Josiah Tezazu. Also her mother Yewobdar Kassa, her sisters: Seble Gabreyes, Mesay Gebereyes, Konji Gebreyes, and Membere Gash. Her brothers: Tatti Gashu Gebremariam, Tarekegn Gebereyes, Soloman Gebreyes and George Van Billoen. Yeshi was born and raised in Ethiopia in a Christian home that became a gathering place for other believers, which prepared her for a life of faith. Music was central to Yeshi’s life, and she would later perform with a Christian Choir during her seven years in Germany and where her daughter Abi would be born. She wrote some of her own songs and was part of a musical family. With her brothers and
sisters sharing in her musical talent and now her children Abi and Josiah carry on that musical legacy. After moving to Las Vegas, where her son Josiah would be born, Yeshi dedicated most of her life to healthcare. As a CNA she worked several years at Mountain View Hospital, then went on to work in home health care. Most recently she worked in a Group Home caring for patients who were victims of stroke. She was always dedicated and compassionate and worked hard to insure the best care for her patients. Recently she passed the Nevada Real Estate Exam, signed with a local Realtor, but before she could begin that stage of her life… Life for us would abruptly change, when on that Sunday night, suddenly and unexpectedly, a severe stroke would render her unconscious, and ultimately take her life.
Yeshi has left us, but she goes on to her just reward, comforted in the knowledge, that we as believers, will all be together again. We will join you in Heaven, Yeshi, as we, who are left behind, continue to find hope in this promise of God.
Rev 21:3-4
“And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God”
“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
