Billy Richard Miller

Billy Miller age 73 of Athens, AL died Thursday, September 6, 2012 at his residence after a 4 ½ year struggle with cancer. He was a native of Michigan and Tennessee and retired from Sharp Transport of Ethridge, TN and owner of Janie's Truck Stop in West End Community.

He is survived by his wife Janie Smith Miller of 27 years of Athens, AL; two sons Rex Miller and Michael (Michelle) Miller; two step sons Timothy (Chris) Woodward of Warren, MI and Thomas Woodard of TX; one sister Carrie Stewart of Springfield, TN; Father-in-law Rev Winford Smith and mother-in-law Ester Smith; a host of special nieces & Nephews & Friends; Friends Merl & Joyce Keys of Florida who was there from day one with help and support; family of in-laws that showed help and support; nine grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren; and the apple of his eye Anna Belle Miller of MI.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Claudie Shelton Miller; two brothers Grover and Charles Miller; infant sister Hassie and sister Marjorie Clouse.

Funeral Service will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Chapel, Sunday, September 9, 2012 at 2 pm with Rev Danny Clark and Rev McCafftery officating and interment in Deerfield Baptist Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo, Saturday, September 8, 2012

5 ~ 8 pm.
