He was educated in the Lawrence County School System. James enjoyed fishing and spending time with family. James worked at Murray Ohio for 23 years.
James was preceded in death by parents, Thomas Eugene (Bug) Douglas and Alice Kelly Douglas; four sisters Bessie Oliver, Georgia Ruth Douglas, Pauline Payne and Ada Redmond and one brother Thomas Douglas.
He is survived by his sister Jessie Lee Douglas of Mount Pleasant, TN; Brother-in-Law Ellis Payne of Sherffield, AL.; very devoted nephew Charles Thomas Douglas; several nieces and nephews and cousins survive. Special friends Sdam Jr.; Brown Boy; Ms. Pat and Louie Prince; Brother Mark; Big Al and so many more too numerous to mention.
Funeral Service will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Chapel, Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 1 pm with Lethaniel Garner officiating and interment in West Point Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo, Saturday, February 16, 2013, 11 ~ 1 pm.
