Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Thressia Huntley Bishop; Son, Jamie Bishop; Daughters, Contessa Bishop Huntley (Dennis), Melissa Bishop; Brother, Bobby Clay Bishop; Sisters, Carol Watson, Francis Gail Wouton; Stepdaughter, Jennifer Whisett (Mike), April Mashburn (David); Stepson, Terry Beard; Nine Grandchildren; Three step Grandchildren; Three great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clay and Opal Bishop; and brothers, Ted Bishop and Fred Bishop.
Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Chapel, Friday, December 30th, 2016 at 10am - 12pm with a service to be held on Friday, December 30th, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Bethel Baptist Church with Brother Jessie Littrell and Brother Kenny Freeman officiating.
Interment will be at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
